The Director of Parts Operations provides strategic leadership across the Company’s dealership network, ensuring operational consistency and an exceptional customer experience. This role drives performance by coaching Parts Managers, leading operational execution, partnering with OEM manufacturers, and delivering process and systems improvements to achieve key financial and operational KPIs.

Essential Job Functions
- Lead, coach, and develop Parts Managers through performance management, succession planning, and leadership support to strengthen operational capability across the dealership network.
- Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluation, and employee relations activities in alignment with company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
- Ensure consistent execution of parts operations, policies, procedures, and best practices to deliver a uniform, high-quality customer experience across all dealership parts departments.
- Drive sales growth, market share, and product goal achievement by analyzing performance data, identifying opportunities, and executing promotional and operational strategies.
- Manage inventory health, asset utilization, and stocking strategies to balance product availability, inventory turns, profitability, and obsolescence control.
- Serve as the primary liaison with OE manufacturers by communicating programs, advocating for company interests, supporting initiative adoption, and maintaining strong manufacturer relationships.
- Act as the subject-matter expert for parts processes and systems by leading improvements, supporting standardization, and partnering on continuous improvement and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Establish, monitor, and drive accountability for financial and operational KPIs while collaborating with senior leadership on strategy, pricing, sourcing, action plans, and operational excellence.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in parts operations, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Minimum 5 years in leadership roles with experience managing managers or multi-site operations
- Consideration given to relevant experience and related certification.
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans in a large, complex, or multi-location organization.
- Experience working in dealer networks, distribution environments, or automotive/heavy equipment industries preferred.
- A valid driver’s license may be required, along with a driving record that meets the requirements of the company’s insurance provider.

- Proven leadership of parts operations across inventory management, procurement, distribution,and supply chain optimization.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and P&L accountability.
- Deep expertise in inventory control, logistics, vendor management, and scalable operational models.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate enterprise goals into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, including financial and operational metrics.
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to build high-performing teams, coach leaders, and drive accountability in dynamic environments. Foster a safe and collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence executives, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Proven success leading change management, continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), and operational transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency in parts management systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Office, and the ability to interpret technical and regulatory information.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and corporate citizenship, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Travel as needed.
