Position Summary
The Sr. Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting and evolving LCPtracker’s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based systems, with a strong focus on security, scalability, and efficiency. The admin will manage infrastructure services, systems performance, identity management, and endpoint compliance across Windows and macOS environments using Microsoft tools such as Azure and Intune. This is an on-site position based in Orange, CA that reports directly to the IT Operations Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

Manage and monitor systems across Windows and Linux environments in Azure.

Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including multi-domain environments.

Experience with Azure NSG’s.

Deploy, manage, and secure macOS devices using Microsoft Intune.

Configure and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).

Automated systems administration tasks using strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and other scripting tools.

Install, configure, automate, and monitor various cloud services.

Analyze existing systems, processes, and architectures to make recommendations for improvement.

Monitor system performance, patch compliance, and threat detection tools.

Perform backup and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.

Document technical configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
-
Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex systems and infrastructure issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to deliver secure and user-friendly IT solutions.

Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production.

Provide regular identification of monitoring gaps, resource utilization, warning thresholds as it relates to operational excellence.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

5–10 years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise infrastructure, or related IT roles.

Required experience managing macOS devices via Microsoft Intune.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Intune, Hyper-V or VMware.
-
Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and other automation tools.
-
Strong knowledge of IT security principles, NIST/SOC2 frameworks, and endpoint compliance.
Certifications (Preferred)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
-
Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.

CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, and printers.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

Sit and work on a computer for extended periods.

Frequently required to talk and listen.

Use hands and fingers to operate a computer and office equipment.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms.

Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. Days/hours worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the office is expected during regular business hours Monday-Friday. However, some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned.
Salary Range
The Sr. Systems Administrator salary range is $95,000.00-$115,000.00.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
