FLSA STATUS: Temporary/Intern

DIVISION: General

REPORTS TO: Deputy Executive Manager of Administration

WORK LOCATION: New Braunfels, Texas

PAY RANGE: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

SUMMARY

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, compensation research, and administrative tasks. You will work closely with the HR team to support daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential HR skills in a dynamic work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and HR events.
  • Help draft HR policies, reports, and communications.
  • Assist in conducting surveys and gathering employee feedback for analysis.
  • Perform research and gather data for compensation queries.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the HR team’s daily operations.
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of HR functions, labor laws, and company policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A prior internship or coursework in HR is a plus.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Current valid driver's license and ability to remain insurable under GBRA’s vehicle liability policy.
