Overview

EdenHill Communities is a faith based, not for profit senior living community located in Beautiful New Braunfels Texas. Our 27-acre campus, located between two rivers in the Hill Country of Texas, offers exceptional customer service and culture, which sets us apart from other facilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Certified Activities Director to lead engaging recreational and social programs within a senior living community. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enriching the lives of seniors through meaningful activities, fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment. As a Certified Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing diverse programs tailored to residents’ interests and needs, with a focus on enhancing well-being, socialization, and cognitive health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead and maintain monthly Resident Council and follow up with requests/grievances as needed
  • Complete necessary documentation, including intial assessments, change of condition assessments, quarterly and annual assessments. As applicable based on level of care requirements.
  • Complete the MDS 3.0 per regulations for those assigned within the skilled nursing facility.
  • Complete individualized Care Plan for each resident
  • Attends and participates in all appropriate department meetings and training/development opportunities.

Education/ Experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Position requires current QAD (Qualified Activity Director) through the State of Texas or through NCCAP, ADC Certification (Activity Director Certified)
