PLEASE NOTE: This internship must be pre-approved by the College/University and the District
Primary Purpose:
Work with school faculty, staff, students, parents, and community to create meaningful content that helps advance the District's brand, marketing campaigns, and storytelling efforts.
Education:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student.
- Complete a minimum of 60 semester hours toward a Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Digital Design, or related content.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Knowledge of Photography, Writing, Graphic Design, & Video Production preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience / Other Requirements:
- Experience working with Social Media.
- Flexible availability.
- Entry level skills in photography, writing, and/or graphic design.
Internship Time Period:
The Communications Internship is only valid for the pre-approved Fall or Spring Semester.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in content creation.
- Photography
- Writing feature stories
- Basic graphic design
- Video Production
Administration
- Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
- Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Adhere to the ethical and legal standards and model behavior that is professional and responsible.
