Primary Purpose:
To assist with the implementation and ongoing support of digital learning and application of the right technology tool at the right time to enhance learning.
Education / Certification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- A valid Texas teacher’s certificate or such other credentials as may be required by the State Board for Educator Certification for this position
Experience / Other Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferred.
- Experience in working with curriculum and digital learning resources
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with strategies and resources to address the diverse needs of learners
- Familiarity with educational software and productivity tools
- Knowledge of Understanding by Design curriculum framework
- Knowledge of current models used in educational technology
- Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to lead projects
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to train teachers and work with campus digital learning resources
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with principals and campus staff to foster students’ development of skills to be successful in a global society.
- Work with principals and campus staff in developing and implementing a campus digital learning plan.
- Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of mobile device usage at the campus level.
- Provide campus and teacher support and training for designing digital learning experiences with appropriate technology tools.
- Provide campus, teacher, and administrative support and training for district gradebook and student information system.
- Facilitate the integration of technology and instruction by working with the curriculum staff.
- Work with appropriate staff to maintain and support the implementation of the district’s digital curriculum and instructional resources.
- Assist in the implementation of the district’s long-range plan for digital learning and mobile device initiatives.
- Participate in training and workshops for professional development as related to job responsibilities.
- Assist in identifying and disseminating digital resources.
- Assist teachers in using classroom technology tools.
- Work with campuses to design experiences that help the community embrace and support technology as related to student learning.
- Promote student use of district-owned devices.
- Collaborate with district staff and campus personnel to resolve instructional situations related to use of technology.
