What we’re looking for: A motivated and collaborative individual to join the Parks and Recreation Department. Under general supervision, operates golf carts and performs general maintenance in accordance with all safety regulations and regulations; and provide courteous and effective customer services for customers of the City’s Landa Park golf course.
The responsibilities you’ll be trusted with:

- Operates and maintains golf carts to include charging batteries, washing and detailing in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; identifies and reports problems requiring additional attention.
- Assists in maintaining golf course grounds to include storing equipment, locking gates, picking practice areas, and cleaning cart barn.
- Recognizes, avoids, and reports unsafe acts, conditions, accidents, and injuries.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent or in process of attaining.
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
Required Knowledge of:
- City policies and procedures.
- Fundamentals of the game of golf and golf course operations.
- City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Required Skill in:
- Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures.
- Dealing tactfully and courteously with the general public; and providing effective and friendly customer services.
- Effective communication, both verbal and written.
Your work environment:
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to mobile equipment, requires constant physical efforts; subject to standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time; and must be able to safely pull, push, lift and carry items weighing up to eighty (80) pounds.
- Must be able to work irregular hours and varying schedules including weekends and holidays.
- May be required to work immediately before, during or after an emergency or disaster.
